McCain Staffer’s Coming to Governor Sarah Palin’s Defense (Update)

This is truly hard to believe some McCain staffers are actually coming to Gov. Palin’s defense. It is more than past time for that. Is their defense sincere? I’m not certain because there are staffers like Steve Schmidt who haven’t said one word. Is this acceptable? No.

Foreign policy guru Steve Biegun and spokesman Tracy Schmitt — among others — are speaking out in her defense:

That she remains a player and may be the party’s nominee in four years would make it smart politics for Republican staffers to praise her in print. But those who went on the record suggest that they were doing so out of genuine affection for Palin and a sense that the image of her coming out of the election – that of a self-absorbed conniver — was not indicative of the person they knew.

“I’m appalled by it because Sarah Palin was one of nicest people I have ever had the chance to work with,” says Biegun, a former Bush NSC aide. “I’ve worked in Washington for 20 years, on the Hill, in the White House and in the private sector, and she ranks at the highest levels of decency, kindness and graciousness of anybody I’ve ever worked with.”…

“Gov. Palin was a breath of fresh air, particularly for those of us who’ve been living in the Washington bubble,” said Tracey Schmitt, the vice presidential nominee’s traveling spokeswoman and a veteran of the RNC and both Bush campaigns. “Because she is a working mom, she brought a real sense of perspective to the campaign trail, which was important.”…

Two other McCain aides who were pressed unexpectedly into Palin duty also have only positive things to say about her now

“One of the great developments of this campaign is the addition of Sarah Palin as a powerful and energetic new voice in American public life,” said Taylor Griffin, a McCain press aide who had been focusing on economic issues until he was dispatched to Alaska in late August. “She’s smart, insightful, and has an uncanny ability to ask the right questions.”

And this exactly what I expected to hear about Sarah Palin. I believe she is an extremely intelligent woman. The thing that makes react negatively to her is the way she speaks. Ok! She speaks like a westerner with a little midwest thrown, but that is what makes her so likeable. Sarah Palin is like you and me even though her stances on certain things are different then ours.

I could care less if Sarah Palin makes a grammatical error here or there because it drove me nuts when my own sister use to harass me for the same thing. It is this lack of perfection that makes her who she is. It makes her real.

Frankly I am tired of the elitist Ivy League mouthpieces. They have been so blatantly biased this election year, that I wish they would shut up. I wish they would climb back under whatever rock they crawled out from under…their Palin Derangement Syndrome is way over the top.

Then there is the latest BS about Sarah Palin. According to the Telegraph the Secret Service said Palin caused an increase in death threats against Obama. BS! I really don’t believe that the US Secret Service would ever release this kind of a statement. And if an agent did then he/she better be fired! Just more crap from the elitist written media. UGH!

The elite media types and faceless, nameless GOPers who want to bash Sarah until she can no longer hold sway in the Republican Party are uncomfortable in their own skins. (Update: Carl Cameron of Fox News was outfoxed and scammed by a hoaxer, “M. Thomas Eisenstadt”.. And there is Greta: Greta on the Palin smears: Carl Cameron told me, “I messed up on this one”. And I honestly believe that she did nothing to fix the situation either.)

Sarah knows who she is. She is self-assured but not self centered. She is compassionate and very empathetic, something the elitists know nothing about. if you ask me these types of people need to go spend sometime on the shrink’s couch.

My choice for 2012 is Palin…..I hope she fulfills her promise. Palin will shatter that glass ceiling.

  3. Just imagine, a government of the people, for the people and by the people represented by someone who actually is one of the people….brilliant!
The morning when Sarah Palin was first introduced a the choice for running mate I called my husband, laughing, yet choaked up with tears streaming down my face. A few weeks later,as a family we drove for three and a half hours crossing three state lines to see her speak at a rally. It was worth every mile.
We have a special interest in seeing this one woman as a representative because our son has Asperger’s syndrome. We believed that finally someone in Washington would understand and care. Some of what she believes in does differ, but not by much. This time around the choice boiled down to who believes in the Constitution and the ideals of our forefathers and who wants to change that venerable document. We highly desire that the premises this country was built upon be respected and we do believe in states rights. If Sarah Palin should choose to honor this country by running for the office of POTUS in 2012, she will have twice the number of votes from this home alone. Two of our three teenagers will be eligible to vote for her that year, and The democratic representative failed miserably in attracting them.
