Is Biden McCain’s Secret Weapon?

As of Sunday I think Biden is McCain’s secret weapon. Biden opens mouth and inserts foot once again but tells the sobering truth about an Obama presidency. He asserts that an Obama presidency would put the USA in danger. Grave danger. And apparently I am not the only one who feels this way. Read this report from Fox News.

Here are Biden’s exact words:

“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Not only will the next administration have to deal with foreign affairs issues, Biden warned, but also with the current economic crisis.

“Gird your loins,” Biden told the crowd. “We’re gonna win with your help, God willing, we’re gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It’s like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy.”

WTF? Biden is an idiot. He is telling us that he will tutor Obama on foreign policy. We don’t need a president who needs tutoring, we need a president that understands foreign policy and needs no tutor. Obama is a danger to our national security. Mark my words.

Joe Biden may have handed Camp McCain a lifeline today by telling donors in recent days that Barack Obama will likely face a major international crisis during his first six months in office.

“Joe the Biden said a couple days ago that within the first six months, Barack Obama would be tested as president. Let me tell you, in his entire life, John McCain has passed every test given to him,” Sen. Lindsey Graham said during his introduction of McCain today at a rally outside St. Louis today.

The remarks by Graham began a day-long effort by the McCain campaign to use the remarks to make the experience argument against Obama.

Here are some excerpts from the McCain campaign:

“Just last night, Senator Biden guaranteed that if Senator Obama is elected, we will have an international crisis to test America’s new President. We don’t want a President who invites testing from the world at a time when our economy is in crisis and Americans are already fighting in two wars.

What is more troubling is that Senator Biden told their campaign donors that when that crisis hits, they would have to stand with them because it wouldn’t be apparent Senator Obama would have the right response. (Exactly. Obama will not have the correct response because he is not very well read or knowledgeable on foreign policies.)

Forget apparent. Senator Obama won’t have the right response, and we know that because we’ve seen the wrong response from him over and over during this campaign. He opposed the surge strategy that is bringing us victory in Iraq and will bring us victory in Afghanistan. He said he would sit down unconditionally with the world’s worst dictators. When Russia invaded Georgia, Sen. Obama said the invaded country should show restraint.”

Since McCain is alluding to Obama’s comments about the Russian invasion of Georgia, it is important to remember Obama’s first comments.

Here is Obama’s response to the 3 am moment (it took him a day or two to change his reaction but not until he listened to McCain’s response to the 3 am moment.):

“I strongly condemn the outbreak of violence in Georgia, and urge an immediate end to armed conflict. Now is the time for Georgia and Russia to show restraint, and to avoid an escalation to full scale war. Georgia’s territorial integrity must be respected. All sides should enter into direct talks on behalf of stability in Georgia, and the United States, the United Nations Security Council, and the international community should fully support a peaceful resolution to this crisis.”

Show restraint? What kind of a response is that to a bully in a schoolyard? It is no response. It is scary at best. And makes me think there will be tests for an Obama presidency, none that will end positively for the USA. It will test our national security….not one I am willing to take. And neither should you.
